Homicide Victim With ‘No Hands’ Identified The homicide victim who was discovered behind 7530 Sheridan Boulevard on the morning of October 25, 2004 has been identified. At the time of the discovery, the victim was naked and her hands had been removed. The victim has been identified as Catrina Rene Powell (DOB: 08/21/1978). A family member tentatively identified the victim through the composite drawing obtained from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Several Denver television stations, as well as local newspapers, distributed the photo. Positive identification of Powell was made through the process of forensic odontology. The Westminster Police Department wants to thank the various media agencies that continued to cover the homicide investigation. This was instrumental in the ultimate identification of the victim. The homicide investigation is continuing. Information has been obtained about Catrina Powell’s last know whereabouts. She was last observed in the area of Colfax and Ogden on October 24, 2004.
